Multiple Teams · Week #3 Volleyball STUDENTS of the Week

Congratulations to the Week #3 Student of the Week Selections Quetzalli Bibbins, Kira Bass and Assiah Howard!

Quetzalli Bibbins, Varsity, Junior Defensive specialist, was nominated by Mrs. Wilbert and Mrs. Poe. Here is what Mrs. Wilbert had to say about her: “She works great both individually and with her group in Anatomy class.  Quetzalli is a great role model for younger athletes as she always keeps focus on her academics, even when things are tough.  She is also very polite and not afraid to ask myself or other students for assistance.”

Quetzalli would like to attend LSU and major in Sports Medicine.

Her favorite teachers are Mrs. Morris & Mrs. Parker “They have always been easy to talk to and know how to keep a smile on my face. ”

A fun fact about Q: “I love chicken!”

What advice would Q give to any student: “High School is not as hard as it seems. Being a student and being on top of our grades are the most important things to prioritize. Get close with your teachers and counselor.”


Kira Bass, Junior Varsity Sophomore Middle Blocker, was nominated by Mrs. Poe: “Kira is doing amazing work, and is helpful and kind. Amazing work ethic!”

Kira wants to attend any college in Texas and major in Education to teach and coach. 

Her favorite teacher is Mrs. Gonzales “Because she is always so nice, and she is always looking out for me.”

A fun fact about Kira: “I love candy and anything sweet.”

What advice would Kira give to any student? “Be ready and stay on your grades because teachers don’t baby you here. You have to stay accountable for yourself.”


Assiah Howard, Freshman Outside Hitter, was nominated by Mrs. Barela: “Assiah Howard is an exceptional student. She persistently completes her work on time, is an incredibly respectful young lady and a great student all around.”

Assiah wants to attend any college at Stanford or Nebraska and major in Dermatology.

Her favorite teacher is Coach Miller “Because I feel she pushes me to be my best and she is just an overall good coach and person.”

A fun fact about Assiah: “I’m double jointed in my arms.”

What advice would Assiah give to any student? “Don’t give up, even when it gets hard. Keep pushing tp the end.
