Multiple Teams · Volleyball Student Athlete of the Week–Jakarta Hope

Congratulations to our Week Five Student of the Week Award Winner Jakarta Hope!
Mrs. Harris has this to say about Jakarta:

“This young lady does not quit! My class is not easy and can be quite difficult. Even though she may find a concept difficult, she fights through it until she perseveres. Jakarta only asks a question when she HAS to because she will otherwise think thru the problem until she has figured it out on her own. I am very proud of her.”

What I want to major in college: Speech Pathology

Favorite Teacher and why? My favorite teacher is Mr. McNeill because he taught in a way that was easy for most of us to understand. Most times, I’m nervous to talk and ask questions, but he was always easy to talk to. He was supportive of my sister and I playing volleyball.

Fun fact about me: I hate clowns!

Favorite Quote:  “The strongest people are not those who show strength in front of us but those who win battles we know nothing about.”

What advice would you give to any incoming freshmen about high school? Coming into high school is a milestone and nothing to be afraid of. Be involved and make friends. Being in high school is about finding out who you are while putting in the hard work.

Thanks to Killeen Applebee’s  for providing some awesome prizes for our Lady Eagle Volleyball Student of the Week!!! WE APPRECIATE YOU!!!!!
